YRSA will be conducting a weighing day on Sunday 18th September 2022 from 9am at Sandringham Yacht Club for boats that wish to obtain or update their measurement ratings certificates – AMS, ORCc endorsed and IRC. In keeping with their usual practice, this day will be conducted by volunteers for the benefit of boat owners on the Port Phillip.

YRSA have been weighing boats since 1998 and with the fantastic support of Hydralift Cranes, Sandringham Yacht Club and many volunteers, plan on weighing six boats per hour.

This provides to the boat owners a low-cost weighing service, at a fraction of the cost incurred in other States.

The cost of the weighing will be $275 per boat.

YRSA weigh all boats in “empty” configuration and this means that the IRC and ORC weight is provided. The AMS weight is the empty weight plus the weight of the AMS permitted gear, which is weighed in a basket on the club crane.
