South Australia’s premier youth event is set to swing into action at Largs Bay Sailing Club on the 26^th & 27^th of November 2022. Largs Bay Sailing Club has had great success with youth classes in recent years, so the organisers expect big numbers from many clubs across the state.

Youth Sail SA Youth Championships provide young sailors with an excellent opportunity to get on the water and test their skills against the best in the state.

During recent weeks the Optis, 420s and Lasers have been doing additional sessions over and above their Saturday training and racing, building into the new season.

This event will also be an excellent chance for classes to prepare for National events over the Christmas and New Year periods.

Youth Sail SA Youth Championships is a drawcard for junior and youth sailors, where competitors can compete against their peers, which is the best way to prepare for a long and busy summer sailing season ahead. This year we expect over 60 competitors across eight classes with an inner course for the Optimist Green Fleet.

We welcome Australian Sailing Ash Brunning, Performance Pathway Technical Manager and Brady Lowe, the SA Performance Pathway Coordinator, who will use this event to support youth sailors and be on hand during the regatta.

Local coaches will work closely with Ash and Brady over the weekend, helping the youth sailors and improving their skills.

If performance sailing is your pathway, join Ash and Brady at 5.30 pm on 26^th November for an information session on the new Performance Pathway Direction of Australian Sailing.

Largs Bay Sailing Club have put together a great team on water led by South Australian Award winner for Official of the Year Marcus Cooper as PRO Open Course and South Australian Award Winner for Sports Professional of the Year Maddy Salter as RO Green Fleet Course.
