Youth Sail Queensland hits 100 Entries!
Published Mon 16 Aug 2021
Juniors and Youth from all over the state are gearing up for the largest youth event on the sailing calendar in Queensland.
Over the weekend Youth Sail Queensland hit 100 entries for what is shaping up to be another record year. Green Fleet is leading the way with 37 entries! That is already a record! Keppel Bay has advised that numbers will have to be capped to 50 so if you are wanting to be part of Green Fleet, make sure you register today!
If you are sailing an Optimist and think you are getting ready to move up from Green Fleet to intermediate level, this event is the way to make the jump. You will have great coaches, plenty of support and loads of fun.
So far, we have 16 Clubs represented which is a fantastic result with still 5 weeks to go. It is also great to see that Foiling Kites will once again be part of the event. If you sail a Flying 11, we’d love to see you and so would the crew from Hervey Bay Sailing Club who have already registered!
Keppel Bay Sailing Club have issued a Notice of Race Amendment which gives flexibility to families in case of another lockdown or restriction of movement. This should give you peace of mind with entering the event. You can read all the details here: https://www.sailingyouth.org.au/qld-state-champs/qld-documents/
We are looking forward to seeing you all, so if you haven’t registered yet, click on the link here and be part of a fantastic Queensland event. Check out all the information here: https://www.sailingyouth.org.au/qld-state-champs/
