With the explosion of the Windsurfer Class following the successful development of the NEW Windsurfer LT Board and acceptance as a World Sailing Class Balmoral Sailing Club is pleased to offer Junior and Youth Sailor members the opportunity to learn to sail the new Windsurfer LT with racing on Saturdays from 1pm.

The Windsurfer LT is the fastest selling windsurfer board with over 1,500 sold worldwide since their production last year and the Windsurfer LT Class is growing strongly. The Windsurfer LT World Championships in Torbole, Italy recently attracted over 170 competitors with a high quality fleet of ex Olympic sailors and National Champions from 17 countries. With the next Windsurfer LT World Championships to be held in Perth Western Australia in 2020/21 expected to attract over 250 competitors, now is the time to join in the fun and develop your windsurfing skills.

Balmoral Sailing Club will be hosting the NSW Windsurfer LT State Championships on 14-15 December 2019, and the Australian Windsurfer LT National Championships will be held at Brighton/Seacliff yacht Club in South Australia from 23 to 26 January 2020.

Details of the programme:

• Balmoral Sailing Club is providing the opportunity for junior and youth sailors (25 and under) to access the Club’s five fully rigged Windsurfer LT boards to race and learn on
• Sailors must be fully paid members of Balmoral Sailing Club (Junior 18 and under $215, above 18 - $420 annual membership). Cheaper rates apply if person is a non board owner.
• Opportunity for qualified tuition on Saturday mornings 
• Racing is held from 1pm each Saturday commencing 14 September
• Best BSC junior or youth sailor based on a criteria of Club involvement, regular participation and race results for 2019/2020 season will be provided a free return airfare to World Windsurfing titles in Perth WA in 2020/2021 by Club sponsor
