I regrettably inform our Queensland sailing community that our Australian Sailing North Queensland Club Services Officer Mathew Himson has submitted his resignation. Mat has played a very active role in our North Queensland Sailing Community for the last number of years and since September 2019 as a Club Services Officer. Based at Airlie Beach, Mat who was on a part time role, worked primarily with the clubs from Mackay to Townsville but was involved in courses and coaching clinics that covered the state.

Mat moves on to a full time role with a marine construction company based in Melbourne. We wish Mat all the best on his new adventures and we are sure that he will continue to stay apart of the sailing community down south.

The Queensland Australian Sailing team will be reviewing our operations and will make adjustments to ensure our North Queensland clubs continue to be well serviced and looked after.
