The Governor’s Cup, hosted by the Balboa Yacht Club California, is a highly contested trophy that invites teams from all around the world to compete against elite youth sailors.

For the 56th regatta, we are represented by the Bombora Racing team including Max Paul (Helm), Campbell Patton (Main/Bow) and Brooke Wilson (Trim).

With their training day completed, the team are feeling comfortable in the infamous Governor’s Cup 22s, which were designed and only used specifically for this event.

When asked about how he was feeling about the first day of the regatta, skipper Max responded, 'We are ready to go for day one of the Governor’s Cup and are all very excited. We’ve been training in Sydney for the last couple of months on the RSYS Elliott 7s, so it will be interesting to see how we can transfer our knowledge into the Gov 22s.'
