The Iconic Race Around Tiwi Islands Returns

Dinah Beach Cruising Yacht Association is pleased to announce that entry is open for the 2019 Tiwi Islands Yacht Race commencing on Saturday 08 June. Traditionally managed by the Darwin Sailing Club (and called the Round The Islands Race), this iconic race is now being hosted by DBCYA.
This 300 nautical mile round-the-islands race, held over a long weekend, provides a perfect opportunity for skippers and crew to enjoy some friendly competition or test their vessel in open waters in the lead-up to the Spice Islands Darwin Ambon Race and/or the Darwin Dili Yacht Rally.
Division 1 Monohull yachts have the opportunity to enter under 2 x handicaps systems. All entrants will be given a Performance Handicap PHS as per Wet Season Racing. Yachts with a measured ORC club handicap are eligible for the ORC handicap awards.
There are three divisions:
Division 1 – ORC Club Monohull
ORC Certificate & Cat 3 PLUS Safety
Division 1 – PHS Monohull
Cat 3 PLUS Safety
Division 3 – PHS Multihull
Cat 3 PLUS Safety
