The dates are set for the key Queensland events for 2020

Being an Olympic year the Queensland Sailing Awards have been moved to their own date and will be hosted by Keppel Bay Sailing Club at the end of the Queensland Youth Championships. This will be a great opportunity for our youth sailors and their families to rub shoulders with all the award finalists and to help celebrate the vibrant Queensland Sailing community.
The Instructor conference will once again be held at the fantastic Southport Yacht Club Watersports facility in Oxenford. Australian Sailing Chief Instructors will be imparting their knowledge and updating all instructors on any new techniques and tips & tricks. Instructors will walk away from the weekend having shared their own talent, had professional development and the opportunity to network with other instructors. You can also revalidate your qualifications during the weekend if needed.
The Clubs Conference is the most important event on the calendar for club officials. Not only do you get the most up to date information from Australian Sailing and interesting session topics, but the opportunity to talk to other clubs about how they go about doing things. Sometimes it’s just about that conversation over morning tea that gives you a lightbulb moment. There are travel subsidies available to Queensland’s most regional clubs and this year with the Conference being held at Brisbane Sailing Squadron – club officials will be treated to the most amazing view of the river and city.
As the poster says … Put the dates in your calendar and Let’s Go!
