The 2021 Tasmanian Club Conference is fast approaching
Published Wed 09 Jun 2021
The 2021 Tasmanian Club Conference is fast approaching. This year’s conference will focus on assisting Tasmanian clubs to think strategically and prepare for a strong future of sailing; which aligns with the imminent release of Australian Sailing’s new Strategic Plan.
After the success of the virtual webinars during 2020, the 2021 conferences will be held via a hybrid of webinars as well as our in-person conference at the Derwent Sailing Squadron on July 3rd.
Firstly, all attendees will be welcomed by Australian Sailing’s CEO and President; Ben Houston and Daniel Belcher; to provide a national update, as well as delivering Australian Sailing’s new strategy. Regional Manager Chris Jones will then provide state specific updates, as well as a presentation on various technology platforms that can help organise your club, events and volunteers.
We are delighted to introduce our panel of guest speakers for the day, providing a broad base of state relevant topics;
Child Safety – Community, Sport and Recreation Tasmania
SheSails – Teresa Badrock (PDYC & LYC)
Membership Retention Success Story – Derwent Sailing Squadron
Simplifying Technology for your Volunteers – Chris Jones and Amy Potter (Australian Sailing)
Clubs Tasmania - Andrew Moore
The webinars will offer nationally relevant presentations on topics such as the changes to Racing Rules of Sailing, Insurance and Club Pathway developments.
The Club Conference events are suitable for any key club personnel with an interest in representing their club, networking and growing their club capacity. The full agenda is available here.
We look forward to meeting and speaking with you all on the day.
