In response to our ever-growing list of Tasmanian Sailing Events, we have created an online calendar for Club Officials to use when planning their future calendar of events. Our overall events policy is to increase participation at already existing events and not overcrowd the calendar with new events.

Club’s can access the editable version of the calendar HERE. This calendar will also appear on the TAS page on the Australian Sailing website but will only be a ‘view only’ copy.  This is not the space to put upcoming courses, club racing or social events. We are only looking for your key events that you host where you wish to attract competitors from across the region or state. i.e. State Championships, PJ Super Series, Crown Series, Blockbuster, Two Capes Race, Sydney-Hobart etc…

Class Associations will also be given a link to this calendar so they can view opportunities to include their state and national championships or other association events with already existing events.

Class Associations can not edit the calendar this will need to be done by the club hosting the event or through Amy Potter or Chris Jones.

We are looking forward to every club getting on board with this initiative as it’s something that everyone has been asking for, for a very long time. 

If you have created a poster for your event, please email it to us and we will be happy to promote your event on the Australian Sailing Facebook Page.

Adding an event is easy...

Click on the first day of your event and this will open a box for you to add the event details:

• Event Title needs to start with your club initials (Caps) eg:  DSS for Derwent Sailing Squadron.
• Then a dash and then the event name eg:  BYC – Crown Series
• Add the End date for your event – clicking on the date gives you a calendar to choose the date from.
• Calendar select type – this is a drop-down list but you will only have access to categories you are eligible to edit eg: PJ super series would go under Club Major Events
• Where:  Type in the Full Name of your Club eg Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania
• Comments are for other clubs in your region to ask questions about the event or to advise of any clashes and possible movement of the event
• Type of Boats allows you to choose what boats are eligible to enter this event.  It is a drop down list and you can choose multiple options.
• Click save when you are done.

If you are having trouble entering your events, please let us know. 

If you are holding a National or World Championship, please email Amy Potter events.tas@sailing.org.au and she will add them into the calendar.
