Tackers Program: Kids + Boats = FUN
Published Mon 18 Oct 2021
Tackers is a fun introductory, games-based sailing program mainly designed for kids aged 7-12 years-old. The Tackers aim is for participants to have fun and safely develop sailing skills through games and on and off water activities. No sailing experience is required to attend lower courses and all the equipment, including safe and entertaining small boats, is provided. The program is only run by qualified Tackers endorsed Instructors at accredited Tackers Discover Sailing Centres. Tackers is where future sailors start!
The Tackers program offers a variety of courses based on participant sailing level. Little Tackers and Tackers Intro courses are short and flexible opportunities to enjoy and experience sailing for very young kids and those ones unsure whether sailing is the right sport for them (spoiler alert, IT IS!). Tackers 1, 2 and 3 instead, are multiple-session courses to allow kids to learn from introductory through to racing sailing skills whilst having fun on the water. Visit out Tackers webpage HERE.
