Reflecting your Local Community ONLINE Webinar - Tuesday 29th November 7.00 pm – 8.30pm
Published Tue 08 Nov 2022
The demographic of the communities in which sailing operates in Australia has changed dramatically in recent times. Today, 27% of Australia’s population is born overseas, almost 50% have one parent born in other countries, 260 languages are spoken, over 50% are women or girls, and more than one in five, or 4.3 million people, identify as having a disability.
Through reflecting the wider community sailing clubs can become more vibrant, welcoming and inclusive places, leading to more members and volunteers.
Log on to this interactive webinar and hear from Alison Merridew, Sailor and Audit Consultant on how working towards gender equity can increase your membership and volunteer base. Wendy Hall Organisational Development Consultant will also provide clubs with some quick wins and tips on how to make your club more inclusive and attractive to your local community. There will also be an opportunity to share some of the strategies that have worked at your club and ask questions.
Aimed at Club Committee members, Flag Officers and anyone interested in growing their club membership base.
The online webinar is free but registration is essential.
