Queensland Clubs have success with SailPASS

Our Queensland clubs are taking advantage of SailPASS with some great numbers coming out in the latest Quarterly Report and it is great to see that 47% are women and girls. You can read the full report here: https://cdn.revolutionise.com.au/site/0jsjtfbashgkuax6.pdf

There are 4 Queensland clubs leading the SailPASS way: Whitsunday Sailing Club, Southport Yacht Club, Mooloolaba Yacht Club and Sunshine Coast Yacht Club.

The beauty of SailPASS is that it is completely customizable for every Club. Here’s a snapshot of how these leading clubs are using SailPASS:

Whitsunday Sailing Club

Have customized their SailPASS towards specific participants. They have been using SailPASS since October 2019 and this cumulative quarter (July 2020 to December 2020) have had 176 people through. They use Pin Payments only (RevSport Credit Facility) for payment.

  • Local Off The Beach SailPASS is $10 per day with a maximum of 10 days
  • Local Offshore SailPASS is $10 per day with a maximum of 10 sails and includes a drink voucher
  • Daily Membership SailPASS is $10 per day with a maximum of 5 visits
  • Local Twilight is $10 per day with a maximum of 10 days
  • Daily with Hobie Wave SailPASS is $40 per day with a maximum of 10 days and includes 2 hours use of a club hobie wave
  • Daily with RS Quest SailPASS is $40 per day with a maximum of 10 days includes 2 hours using an RS Quest

Southport Yacht Club

SYC have only one SailPASS which covers any sailing days.  The cost is $20 per day to a maximum of 3 sails.  They also include a $20 voucher which can be used in the restaurant, bar or put towards membership. They have been using SailPASS for just over 5 months and this cumulative quarter (July 2020 to December 2020) have had 98 people through. They use Pin Payments only (RevSport Credit Facility) for payment. Of those 98 people 26 have upgraded to an annual membership.

Mooloolaba Yacht Club

SailPASS is set up for each different race day and $10 per day to a maximum of 5 days before membership is required. They have been using SailPASS for 8 months and this cumulative quarter (July 2020 to December 2020) have had 53 people through. Of those 53 people 12 have upgraded to an annual membership.

Sunshine Coast Yacht Club.

SailPASS is set up for each sailing day with a cost of $10 per day to a maximum of 3 sails before membership is required. They have been using SailPASS for 2 years and this cumulative quarter (July 2020 to December 2020) have had 32 people through.

Some things to remember:

  • Ensure your club's constitution or rules allow you to have a temporary membership category
  • There is no fee charged by Australian Sailing for the implementation and delivery of the SailPASS functionality.
  • Your Club sets the pricing structure charged to participants
