Southport Yacht Club are excited that they have been successful in gaining the hosting rights for the Queensland Yachting Championships for a three-year period to include the following dates:
5th – 7th October 2024, 4th – 6th October 2025 and 3rd – 5th October 2026.

Based on the beautiful waters of the Gold Coast, the events will include three or more races scheduled over two to three days with a mix of windward/leeward, and at least one passage race and will incorporate the annual Sail Paradise event.

With 5 entry divisions, this event offers great racing for all keen sailors in the yachting community. 

There have been some great yachts and skippers who have won the QLD Yachting Championships in the past such as Garry Holt on Get It On, Vaughan Prentice on Black Jack 38, Barry Cuneo on Envy Scooters and Michael Johnson on Italian Job.
