Q3 Participation report
Published Wed 18 May 2022
Australian Sailing's Q3 participation report is out! Pleasingly Club Membership seems to be remaining steady across the country. However, the numbers suggest that Discover Sailing Centres are feeling the impact of increased cost of living that Australians are currently experiencing. Course participation numbers are substantially lower than this time last year, and this is being attributed to the higher cost of living. That said, a special shout-out to those Centres leading the way across the programs:
- Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club (WA) is our #1 Centre overall currently with more than 400 participants. They’re leading both the Tackers and OutThere Sailing program Top Ten leader boards.
- Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron (VIC) continues to lead the Dinghy program, with more than 100 participants.
- Newcastle Yacht Club (NSW) are leading the Keelboat program, with more than 100 participants.
- Flying Fish Australia (NSW) are leading the Powerboat program, with more than 100 participants.
