Introducing OutThere Sailing; a program created by Australian Sailing designed for 12-17 year olds to experience sailing in a non-competitive, casual environment. The program’s major emphasis is on teenagers having fun and being able to spend time with their friends whilst learning important skills such as resilience, independence and drive, all of which sailing can provide.

The major benefit that OutThere Sailing provides for clubs is that it encourages an entirely new demographic to try sailing. This program appeals to teenagers who are interested in the social aspect of sailing & want to try it out. OutThere Sailing is also ideal for teenagers who are already involved in the sport such as Tackers graduates who love sailing but just aren’t interested in the competitive aspect. There is also increased social media engagement for this program which enables clubs to reach a wider audience then they might have traditionally, the program has various social media pages that facilitate a relationship between clubs, participants and the program. OutThere Sailing will also supply clubs with a physical marketing pack, including beach flags, banners, resource guides, certificates and editable posters in conjunction with a digital social media ‘how to’ guide!

The program has had a hugely successful pilot year in Victoria and is now rolling out across Australia. Clubs all around the Nation have signed up for this fantastic program including:
