OutThere Sailing over the Easter holidays
Published Fri 12 Apr 2019
After a successful first summer being piloted through eight Victorian clubs, the new OutThere Sailing program returns these Easter holidays offering a new round of exciting on water fun!
Developed in conjunction with VicHealth’s Growing Participation in Sport initiative, OutThere Sailing aims to provide fun, non-competitive sporting options for 12-17 year olds.
Over 250 young people have already enjoyed an OutThere Sailing course or experience over the summer period, with the program proving a huge hit in this age group.
The program includes stand up paddle boarding, wind surfing as well as power boating experiences as well as sailing in a variety of boats from the pacers to the RS Quests at Royal Brighton Yacht Club. If you know any friends, work colleagues or relatives with children aged 12-17 who might be interested in trying sailing, windsurfing or paddle boarding in a fun safe environment, then the OutThere Sailing program is for them!
