NT Notice to Mariners - Marine Exclusion Zone around HMAS Coonawarra

From 19 October 2020 a 200-metre marine exclusion zone will be in place around HMAS Coonawarra while the Department of Defence progresses with the $472 million Larrakeyah Defence Precinct Redevelopment program.
The exclusion zone will be in place until mid-2023 while a new 330-metre long wharf and supporting infrastructure is constructed to cater for the safe berthing, mooring and servicing of visiting naval vessels and submarines.
The zone will be clearly marked with buoys and only authorised vessels will be able to transit through this area while the exclusion zone is in place. Please see fact sheet for further information. This will affect marine traffic in the harbour and should be taken into account when racing or sailing.
