NSW Regional Advisory Committee – Update

The NSW Advisory Committee is a committee that represents the affiliated clubs in NSW.
The role of the committee is to help create a stronger sport, primarily by strengthening relationships between clubs and Australian Sailing; both listening and understand clubs needs and communicating the role of AS and the services we provide.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Appoint the Delegate to represent the views of Member Clubs at AS General Meetings
- Contribute to the development of the AS strategic plan
- Provide local guidance and advise on state specific issues
- Assist with government and industry advocacy
- Engage with and provide feedback from clubs
- Assist with review of affiliation fee appeals
- Form a voting panel for state awards
Two new members were recently appointed to the committee, Alex Stewart from Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Sailing Club and Rohan Nosworthy from Port Macquarie Sailing Club.
They join the following committee members:
- Alister Copley (Chair) - MHYC

- Hugh Tait - NSC
- Max Gundy – LC12ftSSC
- Nicole Butcher - RPAYC
- Rayshele Martin – Belmont 16s
- Russell Taylor - RSYS
