If your club wants to make changes to be more inclusive and to encourage more women and girls to get involved with sailing, especially with World Sailing’s Womens Sailing Festival coming up in October, it would be great to nominate a SheSails Rep for your club here.

A Club's SheSails Rep collaborates with Australian Sailing staff and the SheSails State Groups, on a voluntary basis, to enhance female participation in the sport of sailing. Club Representatives are passionate about sailing and are good communicators who are supported by the club to liaise with committees, members and volunteers to positively promote female friendliness, inclusiveness and participation.

World Sailing’s Steering the Course women's sailing festival will bring together sailing communities from all backgrounds, with events taking place in multiple countries at the same time. Held over a 10-day period the Southern Hemisphere festival dates are Friday 1 - Sunday 10 October 2021

From dinghies to keelboats and windsurfing to kiteboarding, all disciplines are welcome to be part of the festival. For ideas on what clubs can do to host their own Steering the Course event please review the Event Handbook that contains lots of practical event suggestions.
