Thanks to the collaboration of the Australian Sailing staff and a new Race Officer Policy Workgroup, the new Race Officer Policy is complete.

Over the past 12 months the new policy and its resources have received plenty of review and fine tuning allowing it to be released to our members in late January 2023.

This Policy possesses all relevant information to accrediting and reaccrediting as a Race Officer within Australian Sailing’s National Officiating Program. 

The new policy contains some significant changes from the current policy including new:

• Qualification structure
• Education and testing resources
• Presentation schedule
• Accreditation and reaccreditation process
• Free entry level online education

To assist with the implementation of the new policy, Australian Sailing will deliver further communications in January to all affiliated clubs and accredited Race Officers.
