National 125 2020/21 Nationals to be held in Esperance
Published Mon 17 Jun 2019
Statistics show that the 125 is the largest double handed dinghy fleet in all of WA. We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 2020/21 Nationals at Esperance Bay Yacht Club.
The 125's are famous, not only for their colourful stripes and fluoro spinnakers, but also for being a great all-round boat. They are known as the two-up boat, perfect for family crews, as well as teenagers, mix-genders, and older sailors too.
They are proud to share that they are now an even-gender class, with some regatta's even having female-dominated representation. They are also an easy-to-get-into class with a large second hand market; from bits-and-bobs, to cheap boats, and nationally distinguished boats, all here and looking for a home in WA (Get in quick to train up for nationals in 2021).
The WA 125 fleet has an active and vibrant class association that ensures sailing opportunities are plentiful and varied with many of the class participating in many regatta’s both in the metro area and at regional locations with Walpole being a popular fixture.
They are excited to announce that the 2021 nationals will be held in Esperance Bay Yacht Club, between the dates of 28th December 2020 and 3rd January 2021. This is exciting news for not only “Esspy125ers” but for all 125ers to come together in a stunning sailing and holiday location.
With a strong WA fleet augmented by visitors from around the country a fleet of 40+ is possible.
