Moving Forward With The OutThere Sailing Program

Although the COVID-19 pandemic caused clubs to close down sailing activities from March 2020, the OutThere Sailing Programs that had already been run, proved to be very successful. So successful indeed, that Australian Sailing is finalising a report to show that participant target numbers were very nearly achieved, the number of Discover Sailing Centres signed up to the Program exceeded requirement and the overall sustainability of these activities will continue.
With the sport and recreation restrictions gradually being eased, we can start looking forward to how we can use the OutThere Sailing Program as the basis to create fun-filled, flexible and an exciting variety of opportunities for teenagers and their friends to be active on the water and promote a good, safe social environment.
Targeting 12-17 year olds directly via social media is a good means of capturing interest in the OutThere Sailing Program and so promotions also need to be quick and catchy with a focus on friends. Click the links below for great guides to using social media:
