We have covered this dynamic duo before, most recently with their 2020 Ron Tough Yachting Foundation Gold Medalists for Outstanding Competitive Performance. Let’s get to know them, and their fleet, a little better.

Cam and Suzzi are the current State, National and European champions and nursing a broken hand in November 2019 they placed 4th at the Hobie 16 World Open Series Championships in Florida with 252 boats competing from 25 Nations. An outstanding result! Cam and Suzzi’s passion for their sport is evident as they manage their own training program, competition goals and travel arrangements are all self-funded. Their dedication to teamwork and self-discipline enables them to maintain their level of performance in between their other responsibilities and commitments to their sport.

Cam and Suzzi are wonderful role models, always encouraging new sailors, helping them to get involved both on the water and into the wider community. They race hard but firmly believe in a creed that “You haven’t won the race, if in winning the race you have lost the respect of your competitors” (Paul Elvström). Their infectious enthusiasm can visibly be seen sweeping through others when they’re around.
