Guide for Clubs and Discover Sailing Centres wanting to deliver the NEW Learn to Wing Program

Australian Sailing have recently launched The Learn to Wing Program, the new program for Discover Sailing Centres (DSCs) which is designed to assist in introducing new participants to the exciting discipline. 

The Program sits amongst the suite of other Discover Sailing Programs which are available for accredited Discover Sailing Centres to deliver. All of the Discover Sailing Programs are designed to help to introduce new people to your club.

Below is a table depicting the simple steps to being able to deliver the new Learn To Wing Program at your club.
 

Already a Discover Sailing Centre... Not yet a Discover Sailing Centre...

1.    Purchase Suitable Equipment

Discover Sailing Centres (DSCs) are welcome to source equipment to deliver the Program from any equipment provider, however, to assist with equipment purchase, Australian sailing has sourced a discounted deal for DSCs to buy equipment from North Action Sports Group

To access the discount Centres/Clubs should contact Sylvain Mitault at North Action Sports Group directly at salesau@northasg.com or call 0424 681 859.

1.    Get accredited as a Discover Sailing Centre

Information for clubs who wish to gain accreditation as a Discover Sailing Centre to enable them to deliver nationally accredited programs can learn more about the benefits, process and who to contact here.

 

2.    Purchase Suitable Equipment

2.    Get suitably qualified instructors who can deliver the Program

If you are already an Australian Sailing qualified Dinghy, or Windsurf, or Keelboat, or Powerboat instructor, or an Australian Sailing qualified Sailing Coach and wish to teach the Learn to Wing Program at your local Discover Sailing Centre, all you need to do is to complete the online course available via the below links, please click on the registration relevant to you.

  • An Australian Sailing Keelboat Instructor qualification click here to register.
