Australian Sailing with the support of the Queensland Government, is pleased to be delivering five free Girls only Sailing Coaching Clinics across the State over the next six months. These clinics will be run for women and girls of all ages who sail dinghies and will take place at;

Southport Yacht Club’s new Oxenford Watersports Facility (26-27 May)

Keppel Bay Sailing Club (2-3 June),

Townsville Sailing Club (9-10 June)

Maroochy Sailing Club (18-19 August)

Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (6-7 October).

While plenty of work has been happening in the background on this important strategic initiative for increasing female participation in sailing this will be one of the first (of many) opportunities to really benefit the everyday sailor and for women and girls to get involved. Australian Sailing Regional Manager for Queensland, Ben Callard, encourages all female sailors to get behind this great initiative and to show your support by attending these free clinics. The clinics will be about fun, developing skills and will provide a platform for women and girls to build a supportive culture around participation in sailing which can work to attract others to this great sport.
