Australian Sailing presents Training In Focus – Live 2024
An updated event aimed at enhancing Discover Sailing Centre program delivery to better serve today’s needs. Aligning with Australian Sailing's Instructor, Coach, Officials Development Strategy, this year’s agenda will focus on assisting instructors and Discover Sailing Centre administrators to find more ways to grow their programs and will highlight the importance of giving participants great experiences to drive retention.
Accreditation Extensions:
All accredited Instructors attending the Training in Focus – Live 2024 events, will again benefit from an automatic 12-month extension of their qualifications. Removing the need for separate reaccreditation sessions at other times during the year.
Practical Learning:
During the morning sessions, facilitated by Andrew O'Loughlin, participants will gain practical understanding of the importance of providing quality experiences to retain and grow participation at their Centre.
The afternoon sessions will deliver hands-on learning experiences afloat. Led by Australian Sailing Chief Instructors and experienced Senior Instructors from each state, these on-water sessions offer valuable opportunities for skill refinement and real-world application.
Get Involved:
When: Saturday 7th September
Instructors: 9:00 until 17:00, followed by an hour of socialising.
