Meet our new Boatshed Operation Manager, Ruth.
Originally from the UK, I sail in various dinghies and keelboats. Currently, I sail a Mirror at Williamstown Sailing Club, coordinating the junior sailing programme. I am passionate about encouraging people of all ages to discover sailing, and I love watching kids and adults grow their skills and join the amazing sailing community. When not at work, I can usually be found repairing a wooden dinghy or two (I have a habit of acquiring older Minnows and Mirrors needing TLC) or enjoying the company of my 2 lazy greyhounds. 

Australian Sailing Class Association Meeting

National and State Class Association representatives are invited to join this online meeting to learn about the benefits of using revSPORT to lighten the administrative load on volunteers.

revSPORT is an online membership, events, communications and website platform provided for FREE to affiliated Classes.

Discover Sailing Month 2023 - Resources Now Available!

This year Australian Sailing has selected November to promote Discover Sailing Day around the country.

Discover Sailing day is a great was to introduce new members to your club. Of course, you can choose any day/month that Suits your club to host this day.

To continue in our commitment to increasing participation in clubs, we have created a step-by-step guide to assist with the planning and delivery

• Social Media template for clubs to insert in their own discover sailing image to post on their social media channels to promote their event. 

• Poster template for clubs to insert their own details and image for display within / around their club.

• Discover Sailing Teardrop banners: teardrop banners provide great outdoor branding and colour at discover sailing events, this artwork can be downloaded and printed at your local officeworks or printer.   

• Discover Sailing promotional video this generic sailing promotional video featured below is available for clubs to download and use across their socials, website and in venue screens.

She Sails - networking day

Join us at Albert Park Yacht Club to come together and discuss opportunities to grow female participation at your club. 

This event is in conjunction with APYC's CitySail coaching and racing regatta. The sailors will join us for a BBQ and a social gathering after sailing on Saturday Night. 

All women from your sailing community are welcome.

COVID -19 Vaccine Rule update

Australian Sailing is reminding Clubs of pandemic regulations that were put in place to assist with collecting, recording, holding, and using COVID-19 vaccination information from specified persons have expired.

Clubs who recorded or held COVID-19 vaccination information specifically under these regulations have 30 days to destroy that information.

The destruction of information requirement does not apply to clubs/employers that are permitted or required under other laws to collect, use, record, or hold vaccination information.

Clubs are reminded that a person's COVID-19 vaccination status is health information protected by other legislation, such as the Health Records Act.
