Are your sharing this information with your Sailing Committee and Community?
The Sailing Summits are not far away and this year we have two, Port Esperance Sailing Club (Sunday 18th May) and Mersey Yacht Club (Sunday 1st June). Your Club and Class should be represented to ensure that you’re aware of what is new from Australian Sailing while also engaging in helpful information sessions. This year’s summits will focus on addressing the major challenges identified by the sailing community:
Participation – Strategies to grow involvement at all levels.
Funding – Exploring avenues for financial sustainability.
Volunteering – Strengthening and supporting volunteer engagement.
This year, we’re also having a Club and Class forum to share information. Do you have National events coming up? Do you need support? Do you require extra equipment, or can you share resources? Can we get our sailing community to work more collaboratively? Please ensure that your Club/Class is represented and I look forward to seeing you soon.
