The Queensland Team is working towards getting all the Discover Sailing Centre Reviews completed prior to Easter and are working towards our upcoming events. It’s a busy time for the team.
This month, Grant attended the Foiling Festival hosted by Humpybong Yacht Club. There was plenty of laughter trying out foiling and the info sessions were great. Humpybong Yacht Club is working towards a full foiling program which we can’t wait to see grow.
The next Coaching Clinic held prior to Sail Airlie at the beginning of April is filling up fast and we are proud to include sailing coach Kaylah Boothby from Townsville Sailing Club to the coaching team. She is part of the Coach Mentoring program.
The SEQ School Team Sailing Championships are being held at RQYS at the end of March and we wish all the competitors good sailing. The winner of the Championships will be selected to represent Queensland at the National Championships being held in South Australia in July.
What the Queensland Team have been up to:
- Safety Boat Operator Course and Club Umpire Course
- Discover Sailing Centre Reviews
- Attended the Queensland Recreational Boating Council meeting
- Supported Paradise Point Sailing Club, RQYS, Southport Yacht Club, Humpybong Yacht Club, Newport Cruising Yacht Club and Moreton Bay Boat Club.
