NT SPORTS AWARDS
Nominations are now open for the 50th Annual Northern Territory (NT) Sports Awards.
The Awards recognise the achievements of athletes, coaches, sporting officials and volunteers in the Territory sporting community.
Nominations are open in the following categories:
- Sportsperson of the Year
- Junior Sportsperson of the Year
- Masters Sportsperson of the Year
- Team of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Official of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Local Performance of the Year
- Karen Schneider Sports Medicine Australia Safer Sport Award
- Pioneer of Sports Award
Action
- Promote the awards through your club channels - POSTER
- Nominate members from your club when relevant. Contact claire.hall@sailing.org.au to arrange a letter of support to accompany any applications.
BIG BOAT SERIES
The first race of the Big Boat Series (WSS R1) was conducted by DBCYA in November. The next race will be WSS R9 on 26 March 2023. Further details on races included in the Big Boat Series can be found on the Australian Sailing website HERE.

GAME PLAN
Game Plan is a free online platform that allows sporting clubs of all sizes to get insights into their current capability in key areas of club administration, then supports ongoing club development with a suite of tools. More information HERE

NT SAILING SUMMIT
Previously the NT Club Conference scheduled for Saturday 11 March 2023. It’s a fantastic way to learn what changes have happened throughout Australian Sailing and the other NT clubs. Its also a great way to educate new committee members to better understand our sports structure and how the stakeholders can help.

GRANTS
Youth Week Grants
NT Youth Week (NTYW) aims to assist young Territorians to access a variety of youth-initiated events and personal development programs during 6-16 April 2023. FREE events or activity for young people across the Territory during this time. More information HERE
Northern Territory Men's Places Grants Program
Men’s Places Grants of up to $10,000 per applicant, to support a range of activities such as information sessions, skills development, health and wellbeing programs, education and peer to peer support programs, parenting programs, and equipment. More information HERE
