AGM Season
The Yachting NT AGM was held on October 25. Office bearers can be found on the Australian Sailing website HERE.

• Ensure your club/association also has up to date contact details and representatives listed on your website.

Big Boat Series
The first race of the Big Boat Series (WSS R1) was conducted by DBCYA last Sunday with 16 boats participating. The next race in the series will be WSS R9 on 26 March 2023. Further details on races included in the Big Boat Series can be found on the Australian Sailing website HERE.

Action:

• Help promote this series at your club and get more big boats back on the water in 2023.

Australian Sailing Awards
Ed Vincent was the recipient of the NT Official of the Year Award for the second time, and again he made it through to the finalists at the National Awards held last weekend. Ed has been a regular volunteer at Darwin Sailing Club and is the most experienced Race Official in the Territory. 

NT Sailing Summit
Previously the NT Club Conference. This is scheduled for Saturday 11 March 2023. It’s a fantastic way to learn what changes have happened throughout Australian Sailing and the other NT clubs. Its also a great way to educate new committee members to better understand our sports structure and how the stakeholders can help.

Grants
Grass Roots Grant
Grants of up to $5,000 are available for clubs and organisations in the NT to help people participate in sport and active recreation. Round 2 opens on 1 December 2022. More information HERE

Youth Week Grants
NT Youth Week (NTYW) aims to assist young Territorians to access a variety of youth-initiated events and personal development programs during 6-16 April 2023.
