Congratulations - Grae Morris
Grae Morris is off to Paris, having been selected to the Australian Olympic Team for this year’s Games.
Morris has been rewarded for his meteoric rise with his first Olympic selection in the Men’s iQFOiL class. Everything seemed to click for the Sydneysider in 2023, where he joined the elite of the class finishing fourth at the Olympic Test Event, ninth at the World Championships and sixth at the European Championships. He backed that up with a fourth at this year’s Worlds. The iQFOiL will also be making its debut as the Windsurfing equipment in Paris, marking the first time the board has raced on a foil at this level.
The speedster from Sydney’s Woollahra Sailing Club is being coached by Australian sailing legend Arthur Brett.

Participation Programs and Resources
Participation Programs are key to facilitating and growing membership, as they focus on retaining and developing sailors, coaches, and volunteers, and are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing clubs and class associations to adapt to how people choose to participate.

Our Club Participation Hub is stacked with resources for clubs and classes to increase participation and enhance your activities. Please get in touch if you want guidance on how to utilise these resources for your club.

Office of the Children’s Guardian
We are currently working with the OCG on ways we can make sailing a safer environment for children, and all involved in the clubs. We will be developing resources that clubs can use in this process.
If anyone has any questions on Child Safety at their club, please reach out to Matt Sibley, the Child Safe Office at OCG, via email Matt.Sibley@ocg.nsw.gov.au
Active and Creative Kids Vouchers
A further update from Service NSW regarding the New Active and Creative Kids vouchers and important information about becoming a provider and accepting vouchers.
From 1 February 2024, eligible parents, guardians and carers of school-aged children can apply for a new $50 Active and Creative Kids voucher. These vouchers can be accepted by Active and Creative activity providers who have registered for the new program. As this is a new program on a new platform, providers must register even if they were part of the previous Active Kids or Creative Kids voucher programs. Provider applications require a valid ABN. If you were a previous provider and have not yet registered to accept new vouchers, we encourage you to sign up.
If you are already a provider and have API (Application Programming Interface) integration requirements and this has not yet been finalised, there are alternative ways you can redeem vouchers until your API integration is complete:
· Using a smartphone or tablet to scan and accept vouchers through the Service NSW Business Bureau app. Multiple devices can be used by providers.
· Manually entering the voucher code that appears below the QR code on the digital or printed voucher using the Service NSW Business Bureau app on a smart device.
For more information on redeeming vouchers without an API, visit the redeeming vouchers from customers page on the Service NSW website. To support providers who are waiting on their API integration to be finalised, communications to consumers will be phased to give providers more time to put arrangements in place.
For more information or additional support, visit Service NSW or call 13 77 88 to speak with a Service NSW Business Concierge. Applications can be completed via this link:
