Funding Opportunities for Clubs In Queensland

Here is a list of current funding opportunities open now, but closing soon. A good chance to have a look to see if there is anything to suit your club. 

Queensland Day Sponsorship Program

OPENS: 06 JUN 22    CLOSES: 31 AUG 22

Organisations are invited to apply for sponsorship of up to $15,000 (exclusive of GST) for initiatives celebrating Queensland Day (6 June), held between Saturday 3 and Sunday 11 June 2023. Each year, right across the state, Queenslanders mark this annual celebration of our people, places and achievements with festivals, markets, art initiatives, parades, family fun days or an event unique to their community.

Gambling Community Benefit Fund

OPENS: APPROXIMATELY SIX WEEKS PRIOR TO CLOSE DATE   CLOSES: 29 FEBRUARY, 30 APRIL, 30 JUNE AND 31 AUGUST AND 31 OCTOBER

The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation distributes grants to various not-for-profit community groups throughout Queensland.

Lord Mayor's Community Fund

Brisbane City Council's Lord Mayor's Community Fund supports community projects that build stronger communities in Brisbane.

OPENS: Now      CLOSES: 16 JUNE 23

Applications for the 2022-23 financial year are now open. 

Applications will close at midnight on Friday 16 June 2023, or when each ward had spent their allocated budget (whichever occurs first).

Projects must contribute to the Brisbane Vision by helping achieve our aspirations to be a:

  • friendly and safe
  • active and healthy
  • clean and green, or
  • vibrant and creative city

Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grants

The Community Facility category of the Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grants provides funding to improve, develop and maintain community facilities. These grants are up to a maximum value of $200,000 (GST exclusive) each.

The Central Highlands Regional Council’s Community Grants Program aims to assist local community groups/organisations in making positive contributions to the quality of life in the local government area.

TOP TIP - Find the right grant

With a variety of grant programs out there, you need to make sure you select the one that is best suited for your club. Grants programs are often categorised making it easier for you to identify potential funding. Ensure you read the guidelines carefully to check that you meet all the funding criteria. Research the financing department to fully understand their motivations behind the grant. The more aligned you are with their funding objectives, the greater your chances of success.
