Sail Sydney will return to the waters of Rose Bay (Pannerong) and Botany Bay (Kamay) in New South Wales from tomorrow, with more than 230 boats set to take part from 6-9 December 2024.

As one of Australia’s premier Olympic and Invited Class Regattas, Sail Sydney sees the sailing community come together across multiple classes, and is critical to the growth and success of junior and youth sailors, enabling them to race alongside their Olympic heroes.

What is Sail Sydney?

Sail Sydney is one of Australia’s premier Olympic and Invited Class Regattas and is also a World Sailing Graded Event.

It is run each year in December, attracting competitors from around the country and beyond to the waters of Sydney Harbour.

Where is Sail Sydney?

Hosted by Woollahra Sailing Club, the event will be held across two locations due to race course requirements and the number of sailors taking part. While the majority of classes will race on Rose Bay, the foiling classes will compete from Georges River Sailing Club on Botany Bay.

What events are included in Sail Sydney?

In addition to general racing, Sail Sydney 2024 is set to include the 2024 International 420 Class NSW State Championship and the 2024 Kite Foil National Championship.
