DSD – TASTE Townsville Sailing Club 8/6/24
Published Thu 01 Aug 2024
TASTE 24 was a successful event this year at Townsville Sailing Club offering a variety of water activities and other displays for the local community to come down to the beach along The Strand and have a go or find out interesting information. The event had the support and cooperation of other sporting organisations and stakeholders such as Australian Sailing, Queensland Government, Townsville City Council and more. The event was a success where everyone, organisers and participants, had a great time and the hope is that the aquatic activities will prove beneficial in the future to the local community with more people participating, registering their interest or becoming members of the region’s sporting organisations. Increasing participation in outdoor recreation leads to increased health and wellbeing for individuals who take part, a great use of facilities and the environment and better social, communal interactions. Here are a few statistics and photos from the day.
