It is exciting to note that QLD Discover Sailing Centres have started back on the Learn To Sail Programs including Tackers, Start Sailing, Start Crewing and OutThere Sailing as well as a few Discover Sailing Day opportunities.

While there are COVID 19 restrictions, everyone is keen to get back out on the water.

Sailing Clubs who run Discover Sailing Programs are fulfilling some of the health and wellbeing needs of their community whilst providing opportunities to try a new sport.  Once people get a taste for sailing they often return for more and so hopefully will move to become members of the Club, as well.

Using the National Learn To Sail Programs means Clubs can easily set up, run and track participation in the courses and can use the database to provide follow on information to encourage further sailing via the Club’s other opportunities/activities.  Members are more likely to stay if they receive quality training and communications and, of course, QLD Clubs are always very welcoming!
