Clubhouse on the Horizon
Published Wed 08 May 2019
Broome Sailing Club's clubhouse is slowly appearing on the horizon after a meeting this week with local MP Melissa Price.
The Broome Sailing Club are still working hard to secure a home. Last weekends meeting at the prospective Gantheaume Point site with local MP Melissa Price went swimmingly. Commodore Phil Cox and Vice Commodore Miranda Dibdin presented the plans produced in cooperation with Shire of Broome and the Broome Turf Club.
Mrs Price presented the club a cheque to the value of $5,000 towards the much-needed safety boat replacement. Opening Day is this Sunday, May 12 at Gantheaume Point. A pre-lunch launch for an afternoon of sailing followed by a BBQ to welcome new and existing members and their guests. Bring your boats or come and crew and enjoy the day on the water.
Free for members or a day membership starting from just $10. Maximum of 3 events before full membership is required.
Contact can be via email or call Phil Cox on 0409 036 443 or Miranda Dibdin on 0419 440 128. Hope to see you on the water!
