Australian Sailing is excited to announce the first winner of Choice Hotel’s Privilege Rewards Program competition.

The competition is open exclusively to Australian Sailing affiliated club members and consists of multiple prize draws that run through to July 2020.

Members have the chance to win Privilege Rewards points that convert to free nights’ accommodation at any Choice Hotels Asia-Pac franchise location.

Madeleine Commins of Hampton in Victoria is a member of the nearby Sandringham Yacht Club. Late last year Madeline signed up to become a Choice Privileges member through Australian Sailing and automatically went in to the first competition draw. She was subsequently selected as the lucky winner of that draw, where she took home 150,000 Privilege Rewards points valued at $1,200.

Madeleine has the opportunity to use these points at any Choice Hotels franchise that includes over 300 hotels across 12 brands in the Asia-Pac region and unsurprisingly she was very excited to win the prize.

“It is wonderful to have won this prize and I am looking forward to booking a stay in the near future.”

I haven’t given great deal of thought as to exactly where I will use the points, but I am lucky enough to enjoy sailing with my partner, so I am sure we will definitely utilise the prize when we are next away for sailing!”

Madeline sails regularly and loves the family and friendly aspect our sport has offer.

“Sailing is just such a great sport, I love the welcoming environment it has to offer.

“I try and sail at least once week on my family’s keelboat as well as a Farr 40 – if not more when work doesn’t get in way!”
