Sport and active recreation organisations that provide programs and services to children are now covered by laws that require them to implement the Child Safe Standards.

The Office of Sport is creating a plan for how it can support and assist organisations to meet the new requirements. We would like to hear your thoughts, ideas, and needs about how we can assist, and what should be in our plan. We have some ideas already and are very interested to know if you think they will help.

We would like to hear from as many sport and recreation organisations as possible, especially those that offer programs for children. We are also keen to hear from people who are in different roles within sport and recreation organisations, so please share this link with others in your organisation.

The information gathered from this 10 minute survey will be used to inform the Office of Sport’s Child Safe Action Plan which is a requirement of the Children’s Guardian (Child Safe Scheme) Act 2021. Data from the survey may be shared with the Office of Children’s Guardian and State Sporting Organisations.
