Charter Boats for Hansa Class Worlds 2025

The Australian & International Hansa Class Associations are seeking offers of Hansa Class sailboats and support RHIBs for charter to competitors in the 2025 Hansa Class World and International Championships, which incorporates the 2025 NSW and Australian Championships at Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club from 23rd to 30th March 2025. Several of the competitors are unable to bring their own boats and would like to charter a boat locally.   

The Australian Hansa Class Association are seeking: 

  • Hansa 2.3S and 2.3W 

  • Hansa 303W  

  • Hansa LibertyS 

  • Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs) 

Charterers will be required to sign a charter agreement, pay the charter fees plus a damage deposit of $500 (to cover the insurance excess) and provide their own sails.   

The proposed event charter fees are: 

  • Hansa 2.3 S/W - $350 

  • Hansa 303 W - $550  

  • Liberty S - $750 

  • RHIB 4.0-4.9m - $1000 

  • RHIB 5.0-6.0m - $1200 

The charter fee, less a $50 administration fee, will be paid to the owner no later than 2 weeks after the completion of the charter. 

Owners providing boats for charter are asked to ensure: 

  • The hull, foils, spars and associated equipment are clean (including gunwale rubbers) free of damage, in original operating condition and will meet class measurement requirements. 

  • The boat has current marine insurance with racing risks extension and public liability cover of no less than $10 million for the duration of the event. 

  • The marine insurance excess is no more than $500. 

  • RHIBs are provided with all safety equipment required for NSW Enclosed Waters.  

  • Boats will be delivered to Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club by Thursday 20 March 2025.  

  • Boats will be collected from Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club from Monday 30 March 2025.
