Mid-week sailing is often seen by the envious and longing drivers along the Kwinana Freeway most afternoons as their sails glisten in the afternoon setting sun. Sailors and those lucky enough to find some time off or have an understanding boss typically head out mid-afternoon for an enjoyable afternoon on the water with most clubs having a structured race or series.

One such club is the RPYC who’ll be hosting and toasting the winners of their Summer Series on Wednesday August 5. Post COVID, this has been the largest fleet at the club and has seen a resurgence with several races boasting participation in the high 50’s with the aim of hitting 60 plus.
