Australian solo circumnavigator set to smash records

Published Sat 15 Dec 2018

On Monday 17th December 2018, yachtswoman Lisa Blair will return home from her latest record-breaking sailing challenge of solo circumnavigating the entire coast of Australia non-stop and unassisted after facing a number of physical and emotional challenges along the way.

As Lisa returns to Sydney Harbour she will be the proud new holder of two world records, becoming the first woman to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around Australia and the first 100% eco-powered vessel to undertake a consecutive non-stop, unassisted, voyage around Australia.

Lisa invites Sydneysiders to join her on the harbour to welcome her home as she comes through the heads over the record line and sails up the harbour to d’Albora Marinas - Rushcutters Bay.

Lisa will be coming through the Sydney heads around 12pm, cruising up the harbour then docking at d’Albora Marina Rushcutters Bay at 1:30pm, followed by celebratory bubbles to celebrate her return.
