2025 Sailing Summits Take to the Road

Published Mon 17 Feb 2025

The 2025 Sailing Summits are set to provide an exciting opportunity for clubs and class associations to connect, exchange ideas, and stay informed on the latest initiatives, resources, and projects from Australian Sailing. Attendees will gain valuable insights from industry experts and peers within Clubs, Class Associations, and Discover Sailing Centres who have innovative ideas, resources, or success stories to share.

This year, the Sailing Summits are going regional! Australian Sailing is bringing 26 separate events to locations across the country, ensuring accessibility for clubs and classes nationwide.

Key Themes for 2025

This year’s summits will focus on addressing the major challenges identified by the sailing community:

  1. Participation – Strategies to grow involvement at all levels.
  2. Funding – Exploring avenues for financial sustainability.
  3. Volunteering – Strengthening and supporting volunteer engagement.

Additionally, Australian Sailing will present findings from the latest GEMBA Report, due for completion in May 2025. This research delves into public perceptions of barriers to sailing and provides actionable recommendations for clubs and classes to boost participation and membership.

Stay tuned for the full program details, which will be released soon.
