The Derwent Sailing Squadron is thrilled to announce its hosting of the prestigious Australian Yachting Championships, set to take place from January 3rd to January 5th, 2025.

The event marks a return to Hobart, and the Squadron is honored to serve as the host club.

In anticipation of the Australian Yachting Championship, skippers are also invited to participate in the King of the Derwent Yacht Race on January 2nd, 2025. This iconic race will serve as a prelude to the Australian Yachting Championships, offering participants the chance to compete for the King of the Derwent crown.

Located in Sandy Bay, adjacent to the renowned Wrest Point Casino, the Derwent Sailing Squadron boasts Tasmania's largest and most technologically advanced club marina. Competitors joining the Australian Yachting Championship will enjoy the added benefit of complimentary berthing, subject to availability, from January 1st to January 6th, 2025.
