Australian Sailing is excited to announce the successful recruitment of two key positions within the Australian Sailing community.

Current General Manager-NSW/ACT Emma Humphries will step into the newly created Events, Classes & Youth Manager role. This exciting role will provide much needed guidance and support to the delivery of the Australian Sailing suite of events, a central contact for Class Associations and coordinate the National Youth Squad activities from early 2024. Emma has a great deal of experience as well as a passion for events and has worked extensively with Class Associations both as a volunteer and member of the AS Team.

Filling the big shoes Emma leaves as the General Manager-NSW/ACT will be John Douglas. John joins us with an extensive background in sport management from various roles within Australia and Internationally. He brings a wealth of experience in sport systems and stakeholder engagement. John will commence in the role from the 4^th December 2023.

Both Emma and John are looking forward to taking on the new challenges and opportunities their roles will present and will look to reach out to connect with all key stakeholders early in 2024.
