Course Overview

This 12 hour course aims to teach Keelboat Instructors how to deliver the Spinnakers and Start Racing courses. Participants will learn and practise effective techniques for theory and practical instructing with continuous feedback and support.

Course Prerequisites

• an Australian HLTAID003/HLTAID011 - Provide First-Aid Certificate, or above.

• a Working with Children Check (or equivalent) if required. Please click here for details on your State/Territories requirements.

• Must be 16 years-old

• Water confident

• Current Keelboat Instructor qualification 

Who should do this course?

This course is for anyone who has experience instructing the Keelboat program and wanting to instruct the Keelboat racing or spinnaker courses at an accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Pending your success, you will gain the Keelboat Racing Instructor qualification.
