FEMALE SPECIFIC SAIL COACHING CAMPS

This is the first of five Sail Coaching Camps that are available to girls/females only and offer two days of quality coaching in a great, social environment to learn or up-grade sailing skills, techniques and knowledge. The focus will be on fun, with land based activities, as well as on water activities. The key driver is to provide women and girls with the opportunity to get together, go for a sail, learn and socialise. You can register to attend as many camps as you wish.

COACH

Shelley White + a suitable female assistant from the club.The main coach is Shelley White, who is a Queensland Academy of Sport and Australian Sailing Team athlete in the Olympic 470 Class. Shelley has sailed competitively her entire life across a range of classes and originally learned to sail at Keppel Bay Sailing Cub in Yeppoon. She brings a great variety of experience to share with camp participants. Shelley will be assisted at each venue by another suitably qualified female instructor/coach/sailor provided by each specific Club.

COST

Free for each weekend of coaching (travel/accommodation/expenses will be the entrant's responsibility)

CLASSES + SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED

This camp is open to female sailors of any age and all dinghy classes who have some sailing experience and can bring their own boat. (If you are really keen, but have no boat, please contact Alison Turner - alison.turner@sailing.org.au to see if something can be arranged at the venue.)

TIMES

Camps will run from 9am—5pm approximately, on both Saturday & Sunday.
