Race Management Day

This Race Management Day is part of the Qld Government initiative aiming to upskill females in sport.  Those with the correct requirements were also able to upskill a qualification to the next level in the instructor pathway.  This Race Management Day will be an additional experience, as many have not been involved in the race management side of racing before.

Experienced Race Officials will provide you with the theory - a morning getting the feel of the roles and responsibilities and learning the skills required. This could be something like using a stop watch to record times, or helping to out marker buoys.

Lunch will be provided before the afternoon session where you will be putting into practice what you have learned on the water in a live racing environment. You will be given a role to play in helping to support the racing and will have plenty of mentors helping you. You will need to be ready to go out on a committee boat or a powerboat.
