Expression of Interest Club Coach to Pathways Program

Australian Sailing Performance Pathways is seeking expressions of interest from AS qualified coaches for a new coach development scholarship. The purpose of this initiative is to identify and support the development of future HP development and HP coaches, aligned to AS strategic focuses including:

  • Enhancing the depth and retention of female athletes across classes
  • Increasing the number of female coaches within performance teams for diversity of thinking and engagement
  • Building a stronger pathway and skills within the new foiling classes (IQFoil and Kite)
  • Improving our understanding of ‘foil’ sailing\riding and building understanding earlier in the pathway
  • Building stronger club environments to transition more rounded athletes into performance programs in the pathway
  • Supporting former athletes who are transitioning to coaching so that they may perform their roles with less trial and error and more structure, intent, and purpose.

This initiative is targeted at club coaches, athletes transitioning into coaching roles and female coaches, who are interested in coaching and developing their skills within the Performance Pathway.
